We teach to sell by color and size, not price. A brief history… Tim Huckabee, AIFSE founded FloralStrategies in 1997. He learned every aspect of the flower business while working at Surroundings in New York City. Looking for more challenge, he decided to start a company to meet an unfulfilled need in the industry: on-site customized training for florists. He crafted the process to factor in the variables of the local market, regional prices and design styles and personalities of the staff. There truly is no flower shop too small or large to benefit from FloralStrategies training. When we come to your store we divide the staff into small groups and take them one group at a time. This approach allows you to have coverage to run the store as usual while every person gets trained. In the 2.5-hour session(s) we cover the service/sales/technical issues through coaching, role-playing and written exercises. The culmination of the training process is when we place an order on speakerphone to one of your competitors. This call is hugely popular (and entertaining!) because it clearly teaches the staff how much more effectively and professionally they can deal with the public. Additionally, they hear how awkward their old, question-laden approach sounds from a customer's perspective!
